Mr. Debonair Biography
Emil Armendariz, alias Mr. Debonair became renowned in the world of contemporary art by
mixing luxury brands with firearms and grenades in unique works of art. These works are a
critical take on the different view of companies and society in different countries. The
best-known collectors of these works come from all walks of life, for example: 50 cent, Chris
Angel, Future, Kevin Space, all these people own a piece of his art.
Mr. Debonairs’ particular mix of war and high fashion has been featured in cities all over the
world such as Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, New York City and London. His work is urban,
refined, and has the lasting breath of an older time with his handcrafted art style.
Each design is numbered and very limited, once sold out that will be the end of the series and
is no longer available.Every single grenade is hand painted and signed by the artist.
After being inspired by Andy Warhol’s “32 cans” , Mr Debonair decided to replicate this Iconic
art piece with his own creative style in a way it has never been done before. This was created
exactly how the original Warhol piece is displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York
City. Even though Warhol’s Campbell’s soup art gets reproduced in many different ways, this
is the first and only one in the world to be created in this shape or form. This very detailed
hand painted piece of art took months to create. If you look at it closely, every grenade is a
different flavor of soup, all of which are hand painted and signed by Mr, Debonair himself.
Made of resin, metal, and automotive paint then finished in a clear coat.
In his latest collection, he fuses two worlds together — the explosive power of weaponry
juxtaposed with the beauty and fragility of fashion. The result? Works that take art to
uncharted places. Unsettling yet exciting his art is desired by the upper echelon of art
connoisseurs.
